This is a 5Km fun walk fundraising initiative that aims to empower the Queen Madonsela Stimulation Center for the Disabled, a 24/7 haven for persons living with disabilities. Nestled in the township of Emaphupheni, the center was founded by Sibongile Bodibe, inspired by her experience caring for her sister with cerebral palsy after their mother’s passing.

Despite the challenges of being a Grade 12 student at the time, Sibongile’s love and determination drove her to create a safe space where children with disabilities receive the care and respect they deserve. Her dream is to build a larger home where these children can thrive with the love and dignity every human being deserves.

The 2024 fundraising objectives are:

Safety and Security:

  • Install a walled fence
  • CCTV
  • Side railings and a ramp for assisted mobility
  • Burglar bars

Paving:

  • Install paving inside and outside the center

Play Area:

  • Build a play area to stimulate children, especially those living with autism, as kids learn through play
